Current World Record: dataXploit -1:17.852 Previous Record Holder: Serzari -1:17.857 Drift Stage is a modern evolution of the classic arcade racer - an homage to the culture, cars, and games of the mid-late 80s and early 90s. This early alpha demo contains a single time trial event for you to challenge three target time ghosts (novice/intermediate/expert) and your personal best. This software represents an archived prototype of the first Drift Stage 0.1.1 pre-alpha version released to the masses in the year 2015. This is not a final product. Drift Stage is still in its early stages of development. This early alpha demo is intended to give a general impression of the game's intent but should not be considered at all representative of the final product. Modes, music, graphics, gameplay, and all other facets of this product are subject to change. Basic Controls RT / R2 / [Space Bar] - AccelerateLT / L2 / [Left Alt] - BrakeSTART / [Esc] - Pause Gamepad & Keyboard Controls: [Note]: Controls written “[In This Manner]” indicate keyboard controls. Menus: Use Left Stick or [Arrow Keys] and A button or [Space] to navigate the main menu. Press Start or [Enter] to confirm on main menus. To pause the game or exit the main menu, press [Esc]. [Note]: Resolution and graphics quality options in this version of Drift Stage (0.1.2) are set in the pre-launch dialogue box. In-game option menus were not implemented until 2016. Driving & Steering: To steer your vehicle, use the Left Stick or [Arrow Keys]. To accelerate, hold Right Trigger or press [Space Bar]. Begin braking by pressing Left Trigger or [Alt]. You can brake while accelerating to slow down without entering a drift. To drift you car, release the accelerator (Right Trigger or [Space Bar]), and then briefly press the brakes (Left Trigger or [Left Alt]) while steering left or right with Left Stick or [Arrow Keys]. Steer during a drift by turning in the direction of a corner with Left Stick or [Left & Right Arrow Keys]. To return your car to normal driving position after preforming a drift, use Left Stick or [Left & Right Arrow Keys] to steer the vehicle back to the center of the course.
