Maryam's Story - Woman Life Freedom

Kudos to the brave women and men in Iran. You inspire the world. ==================== This game was made for the Woman, Life, Freedom game jam. In this game jam entry, players assume the role of Maryam, a character living in Iran under a theocratic regime. To progress through the game, the players must navigate their environment using a set of actions displayed at the bottom of the screen. However, as the game progresses, players will find themselves losing access to certain actions as the oppressive forces take control. For example, players may find themselves unable to move right, left, or jump. Through this mechanic, the game explores themes of agency and free will under a repressive regime.
