The Greatest Trick

This is our first Playdate game! We designed it for Playjam 6 with the theme trick-or-treat in mind. Contains depictions of snakes on a couple of the cards, in case that's not your thing! Controls: Your hand is on the right, the trick being played is on the left.Use left/right to move between your hand and the current trick pile.Use the crank to cycle through cards in the currently selected pile.Press B to play the visible card from your hand into the trick. Defeat your demons by playing winning tricks. You play 1 card per trick, and win tricks by playing a card of a higher rank than all other cards in play. However, the rules require that: You must follow suit if you can.You must play a higher ranked major arcana than what is in the trick pile if you can. When you win a trick, you will play first on the subsequent trick. Acknowledgements This is a trick taking card game based off of the game played with The Player's Tarot by Jasmine Rae Friedrich. We've enjoyed playing the game a bunch with out friends and family, and also enjoyed bringing an interpretation of the French Tarot rules onto the Playdate.
