🍂 Piece by Piece – A Cozy Autumn Tale 🍂 When I saw the theme for this year’s game jam, I immediately wanted to explore my connection with autumn as a couple — how this time of year brings us together in its own way. Through three moments in the life of this quirky, well-matched couple, I wanted to reflect how they, like the trees around them, watch winter’s approach with a gentle tremble. 🍁 The gameplay is very simple: just drag and drop puzzle pieces into the remaining spaces to progress the story. This isn’t a long or deeply branching narrative game. Rather, it’s a little treat to enjoy at the end of a long day, a small reward for making it through. It’s a very short game, but one where I wanted to experiment with the idea of storytelling through puzzles. ✨ This was my first cozy game jam, and it was such a joy to develop this game solo and be accompanied by the talented Benjamin Widawski.
