VHS&M

There's an intimacy in getting hands on with a vhs player. The machine responds to touch and stimulation in many exciting and dangerous ways, with moving parts and sensitive electronics. This combination of dangerous and exciting intimacy has parallels with sadomasochism. This piece explores what pleasure and pain we can find, and maybe even relate to, in the cold steel and hard plastic of the old but familiar hardware. Content Warnings: This is a game about sadomasochism and the eroticism of the machine, it includes stylised depictions of violence. Mouse Controls: - Left click and drag objects around the screen - While dragging, use the scroll wheel to bring the object closer or further away from the camera - Left click on buttons to activate them.
