Madcat Advice - Lancer Beginner Guide and Module

All great pilots and tacticians, even those created or destined for it, spend volumes of time getting their footing with their new mechs and pawns. Reading through training manuals and memorizing instructions can only do so much to advance an individual's skillset. Advanced simulations, live-fire training exercises, and trials by fire all serve to elevate a pilot’s and tactician’s skills in a way no sterile learning can do. You and your squad have managed to get yourselves qualified enough to be registered mech pilots, now you are on route to a Union-controlled training facility to give you your first taste of real combat in a controlled environment. ***Madcat Advice contains a mixture of advice for those new to Lancer (both Players and GMs) and an introductory module to help newcomers get a deeper understanding of the game. Proving Grounds is an introductory module designed to help acclimate new players and GMs to the basic facets of Lancer. It's intended to act as a low stakes tutorial and assumes the reader has a basic understanding of the Lancer Core Rulebook without expecting in-depth knowledge. Ideas and features from official supplements are mentioned at several points throughout for optional inclusion but are not required.
