Our Kickstarter was not funded so we will unfortunately not be making this game. A Horror, Myster, BL Visual Novel! Our main character's life is a mess, and just got even more complicated. Kicked out by his ex due to his arcane 'gift' of seeing ghosts, he's forced to move into a slum. And the slumlord expects extra favors for his cheap rent. One bright spot is his next door neighbor, Ethan. Or dark spot, rather, because even though he's been kind and helpful, our main character sees demons whenever he looks at the beautiful man. And now he's learned two people were murdered in his apartment before he moved in... A horror, mystery, BL romance visual novel. Can you find the murderer before you end up the next victim? Or will you embrace the darkness? The Monster Next Door will release as a SFW game, but a NSFW patch will be available directly on the Steam page (as a DLC). We will put out a complete NSFW version along with a SFW version on Itch. The Steam patch will be restricted in China, Germany, and Russia, but we will make sure our backers get everything they need! Our protagonist's ability to sense supernatural beings has made him a bit of an outcast, but he thought things were looking up when he started dating Theo. Unfortunately, his talking to beings Theo couldn't see caused suspicion and anger, leaving our protagonist on his own once more. Kind, handsome, and there right when our protagonist needs him, Ethan seems like a dream come true. And they have a connection both men can feel from the start. If only he weren't so secretive...and what are the strange noises that come from his apartment? Theo tried to trust our protagonist, but he couldn't handle his strange ability. This issue in the relationship, and his own insecurities ultimately doomed them. He seemed to be throwing our protagonist a lifeline, but he had ulterior motives for helping him. He knows our protagonist is in a bad spot and has no problem using that to his advantage. A scumbag through and through.
