lately long ago - a rhapsody of time This project is a visual study of the concept of memory. My intention was to take this - to me, very abstract and surreal part of the human experience and turn the process of remembering and the facets and sentiments of memory into something visual, more graspable and to capture the emotions that come with it. Memories, remembering and how we perceive and process time, makes up a significant part of who we are as people, shapes the way we experience life in the current and the future, the way we view the world, relationships to others, our environment and life as a whole. Remembering has always been a very visual process for me but to take something so abstract and trying to turn it into something perceivable outside of my head that felt right and accurate to my experience, was surprisingly challenging and I’m still not entirely sure if I managed to achieve it. This project consists of two parts, a game and a zine. The game will be best understood by reading the zine alongside or afterwards.
