After finding back what looks like the oldest polo concept for Y-box, I decided to make a cover of a mod by coolskull212 that I really enjoyed. Link to said mod here: https://coolskull212again.itch.io/incredibox-hyri Now, excuse me while I rant a little bit. You can keep reading if you want to. While I could pass this mod as a corrupted or modified "demo" of Y-box, I think this kind of scenario is a bit overdone nowadays. ARGs 'n' stuff are nice, but feels like the whole point of Incredibox is starting to be set aside for, just for example, whatever Incredible770 or Fale have planned. Another thing, now the mod isn't enough for its popularity. It has to have something making it unique. Can't blame anyone here though. I was probably one of the first people to add a mechanic to an incredibox mod (Y-box v3: Insomnia). Probably was also one of the first people to willingly add real life people in horror themed incredimods (OG Pointless). I think last time I did a mod only for the music was probably one of my oldest works. Couldn't say which one, though, but I did try to make something original in every mod of mine, even if some would turn forgettable. I think the last time I used an actual original polo base was in either Dip Out 1 or County, or maybe even in v6: Center of attention with Medley's appearance. But anyway. I probably digress. the point is that I just think incredibox isn't under its own spotlight anymore. What made this game what it is is now overshadowed by original content, mechanics driving the main point away and stories that completely loses focus of the original stuff. Now I understand why some people said that the community is dying out. It's branching to other types of games, as some kind of temporary platform. At least that's how I see it. If you read all that, thank you for taking your time for this. Hope you probably understand my point of view on the current state of the Incredibox community.
