A Thousand Stares is a first-person psychological horror game about ommetaphobia, the fear of eyes. You awaken in your dreams in the ruins of your past, a decaying world that watches your every move. To escape, you must collect Memory Shards that reveal fragments of your forgotten past and the truth behind the Watchers, entities that see all. Blinking is your lifeline: keep your eyes open too long, and they’ll notice you; close them for too long, and something will move closer. Solve perception-based puzzles, explore shifting environments, and survive the feeling of always being seen. When the final shard is found, the world itself begins to stare back, revealing that the eyes were never your enemies, but your reflection.
