Mildred's Christmas Eve (2025)
Mildred's Christmas Eve is a wholesome festive game I made for a winter-themed gamejam I entered in December 2025. Having spent much of the year working on my main game, Scarlet Harvest, I wanted to test out some systems and learn more about the Easy FPS Engine engine. So I made this. I documented my journey in a standalone devlog on my YouTube channel.Because of time restrictions, there's a lot that isn't finished in this game. Many of the hand drawn sprites aren't coloured in, there are collision bugs, wonky music transitions, and the ending is a little abrupt. I may come back and fix these at a later date. But equally, I'm quite proud of my little cozy game made in 25 days, and it's served its purpose as a learning experience. I hope it brings you some warmth this festive season! //KNOWN BUGS - In the woods, the gates don't work as well as they could. If you open a gate but your dog still doesn't follow you through, try pressing E again to see if he will approach you. If you still can't get him to follow you, don't worry, leaving him behind is not a fail state and you can continue the level without him. You'll just make him sad :'( - You can press 'tab' to see your objectives at any time...but this breaks the ambient sounds I tried to add to levels 2 and 3. - There's a few collision bugs, particularly in the woods where the trees have collision boxes that are WAY too big. //CREDITS "First Snow" by lolurio, licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
