Haunt Them Out!
Hello! My name is George Fennelly, a Game Designer. For this game I focused on a certain Specialism being Gameplay Design. Focusing on the feel of the gameplay. This is a ghost possession game made for a university specialism project. This was all created in Unreal Engine 5. Aim: You play as a ghost trying to take back your own house after you found out that some people have moved in and now are the new home owners. Your aim is to knock out the home owners to take back what was truly yours. The upstairs is sadly not completed so I blocked it with a gate. There might be some issues around the NPC, so I apologise for those. If the timer runs out while possessing please be aware that it will not take you to your last possessed object, I'm sorry for the issue, sadly had not time to fix. Development: The Inspiration I got for creating this game was Haunt the House: Terrortown. Where Your aim in that game is to scare the guests. For the entire development of Haunt them out! I started of with making sure the character will be able to possess objects as that was going to be the main aspect of the game, Without that mechanic, this game would of possibly been something else. Conclusion: Overall, I am pleased with the outcome of this specialism and how much I have learnt with the amount of research that went into this development. Working on this specialism has been lots of fun. I intend to implement the knowledge I have learnt throughout development to any project that I will work on next.
