The Block in the Road

As the only human in her group, Claire never felt like she belonged. But when a chance encounter with an ancient spirit brings her to a perilous forest, what she finds will test more than her survival skills. Together with her friend Alyse, she’ll face monsters, deadly environments, and the inner demons she’s known for most of her life. In this second installment of the six-part series, will the Spirited Bonds crew survive—or be forced to end their journey forever? This is a sample for a larger project about four teens who journey through a dangerous woods. They are searching for answers about the main character’s missing parents. Along the way they face obstacles that test their bond. And at the end what they find is bigger than what any of them expected and it sets off a chain of events none of them are ready for. This is 18 pages including a comic and bonus materials like sketches and character designs. This comic was made with the instruction of Polly Guo's Comics Class Intensive (2024-25).
