Brief ContextThis is a fangame based on The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and the DnD campaign that's set in the trails universe. The prologue will be noticeably one-to-one to the original but if you play enough of it you will notice key differences that will shape the story into it's own, hopefully. This game is still in it's early stages so may encounter many bugs. Please let me know! This game is intended to be free once it's completed. I've been running a DnD campaign set in the trails universe. The campaign is in the future so this would be the prologue of that campaign. More context further below. Synopsis Trails Within the Skies revolves around twin siblings, Stella and Sora Wright. After the disappearance of their mother seven years ago the two sought out to become bracers just like her and their father.While on their journey to become full-fledged bracers they find themselves meeting many friends, allies and enemies that will challenge their pursuit to become keepers of peace. While being young and somewhat naïve, these twins will learn the many lies and truths of the place they call home.The Protagonists Disclaimers Character Art is AI Generated with a lot of touch ups. My writing borrows from the original Trails in the Sky script so there will be similarities but as the story progresses the differences will shine!Current progressThe prologue has been completed and I'm currently working on Chapter 1. I've been revisiting the prologue constantly since I've added stuff that might mess up some conditional branches and the like. so if something fishy happens, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know!At present, if played normally the prologue could be around 5+ hours.If you'd like a challenge, there is a difficulty setting. I had my friend try and he's completed it so I wonder if anyone else can give insight on it's difficulty? Extra Context if curiousTrails Within the Skies is based on my DnD trails universe I've been running for two years. This game specifically takes place before the start of my campaign, specifically the Cold Steel game. Since it's based off trails, the prologue and some elements in the future will hold resemblances of the original Sky game. You will notice immediately there's a major difference between Trails in the Sky but with the major differences in play the rest of the game will split from it's source material, hopefully drastically. I started really digging deep into RPGmaker a few months ago but I know I got a lot to work on. So with the prologue finally completed, I thought it was time to let others aside from my friend try it!
