Sneik!

SNEIK! (R to reset) Developed in a record time of just one day, SNEIK! is a tactical grid-based puzzle game that strips away the traditional arcade mechanics of Snake and replaces them with strict physics, structural weight, and spatial routing. The Core Objective In SNEIK!, you do not merely gather items to grow; your primary mission is to paint the map. Every walkable tile on the grid must be traversed and marked by the snake's head to successfully complete the level. The challenge lies in turning a classic continuous-movement character into a precision paintbrush, calculating paths that leave no tile untouched. Gravity and Physics Mechanics The defining twist of SNEIK! is the persistent application of grid-locked gravity. The game engine does not allow your character to float or retain momentum freely. The moment you complete a deliberate input, custom gravitational logic evaluates the entire structure of the snake. If even one segment lacks solid ground or a wall beneath it, the entire snake drops downward until it hits a stable platform. Gameplay and Growing Constraints Controls: Standard spatial input is fully supported via the W, A, S, D keys or the Arrow keys, allowing for immediate block-by-block positioning. The Length Dilemma: Consuming apples causes new body segments to instantiate dynamically at the tail. However, growth is a double-edged sword. A longer body acts as a heavy anchor under the gravity script, requiring careful spatial planning so that your tail does not trap your head or block critical pathways. Instant Reset: Because the puzzle mechanics allow for soft-locks and irreversible traps, pressing the R key instantly reloads the active level scene, resetting all nodes and tile dictionary states for a rapid retry. SNEIK! turns a frantic arcade game into a methodical, high-stakes puzzle experience where every step requires foresight, and gravity dictates every outcome. (Inspired by Snake Bird and Moss)
