Alquimia dos Elementos

ALCHEMY OF THE ELEMENTS Science Survives. A scientific roguelike deckbuilder where exploration, experimentation, and risk-taking shape every decision. In Alchemy of the Elements, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology aren't just part of the theme โ€” they are part of the gameplay itself. Collect reagents, build your deck, observe enemy behavior, and combine cards to discover new reactions. Some experiments may save your expedition. Others may make an already unstable environment even more dangerous. Observe. Experiment. Discover. Survive. ๐Ÿ“– An Experiment Gone Out of Control The Grand Unification Project was an ambitious attempt to connect fundamental principles of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology within a single experimental system. During the final test, a massive release of energy struck the central greenhouse, pushing the environment's instability to unpredictable levels. After the collapse, organisms and materials began to transform. Fungi grew abnormally. Vegetation overtook artificial structures. Phenomena that were once carefully controlled became unpredictable hazards. You take on the role of the Researcher, returning to the greenhouse to investigate what happened, collect samples, and turn real scientific relationships into tools for survival. ๐Ÿ”„ Every Expedition Is Another Experiment Every run is a new attempt to understand the environment. If the Researcher is defeated, the expedition starts again. Paths, encounters, and dangers can change between attempts, forcing you to adapt your strategy. But not everything is lost. Your Field Journal preserves the discoveries made throughout your expeditions, recording reagents, information, and recipes you have already identified. You may lose a battle. The knowledge you gained remains with you. ๐Ÿงช Observe, Record, Experiment Your deck works like a scientific field notebook. Each card represents an element, organism, material, or phenomenon that can be used on its own โ€” or combined with others. Discover relationships between different cards and uncover new reactions based on real scientific principles. ๐Ÿ”ฌ Scientific Combinations Fuse cards to discover new reactions inspired by real-world science. For example: Light + Plant โ†’ Photosynthesis The combination produces an effect in combat while also providing a brief explanation of the scientific phenomenon behind it. Figuring out which elements interact โ€” and how โ€” is part of the adventure. ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Enemies Reveal Their Intentions Your enemies show what they are about to do. They may attack, defend, apply effects, or prepare special abilities. Use this information to decide whether you should strike, protect yourself, manage your resources, or prepare a more powerful combination. Read the situation. Make your experiment count. โš ๏ธ Instability Experimentation has consequences. Instability increases during combat and can rise even further when incompatible combinations are tested. The higher the Instability, the greater the danger to your expedition. Certain cards and reactions can reduce Instability and help you regain control of the experiment. Sometimes, the most powerful experiment is also the most dangerous one. ๐Ÿƒ Science Turned Into Cards The card system is built around three major scientific disciplines: ๐Ÿ”ต Physics Energy, light, electricity, pressure, waves, magnetism, and other physical phenomena. ๐Ÿ”ด Chemistry Solutions, acids, bases, combustion, catalysts, and transformations of matter. ๐ŸŸข Biology Cells, organisms, enzymes, plant structures, and biological processes. Combine concepts from different fields to discover interactions that wouldn't be possible when using each card alone. ๐Ÿ’ป About This Demo โ€” 0.9.17 This is a work-in-progress demo of Alchemy of the Elements for Windows. The current version focuses primarily on the combat system and on how information is presented during battles. Recent changes include: Redesigned combat interface Improved card and enemy-intention visibility Rescaled battlefield and characters Revised breathing, floating, and impact animations Expanded and reorganized Card Journal Adjustments to the fusion and Instability systems The game is still in development, so visuals, numbers, cards, animations, and mechanics are subject to change. ๐Ÿ”ฌ About the Project Alchemy of the Elements was created around a simple idea: What if scientific concepts weren't just part of the setting, but part of the decisions you make? Instead of using Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mere decoration, the goal is to make the relationships between these fields have meaningful consequences within the game's mechanics. The project is independently developed by Mateus Miguel da Silva, a physics graduate combining game development, education, and science communication. Mix science. Discover reactions. Survive the expedition. Alchemy of the Elements is currently in development.
