SCHWARM-Tiefsee
SCHWARM · TIEFSEE The only way to escape the swarm is to almost die. One button. Hold to rise, release to sink. That is everything you get. Behind you are hundreds of piranhas. They do not tire, they do not lose interest, and they do not give up. The bar in the corner shows how much water is left between you and them. Every obstacle you touch takes some of it away. Here is the cruel part. Swimming carefully will not save you — it only lets them close the gap. The one thing that buys back distance is nearly dying: shave past a jellyfish close enough to feel it and the swarm falls behind. Play it safe and they eat you slowly. Play it scared and they eat you fast. Eight zones lie below you. The reef is bright and almost friendly. It does not stay that way. Past the kelp forest the light turns green, then grey, then gone, and down where the seabed smokes there are things that had to make their own light. Once per dive the swarm commits. It stops following and starts hunting, and no amount of swimming will shake it — only four near misses in a row will. • 41 CREATURES in a codex you fill by surviving them. The rarest jellyfish drift only in the deepest water, so you have to go there. • 12 FISH to play as, each with its own shape and its own story. • A DAILY DIVE — the same course for everyone, once a day. • MUSIC THE GAME WRITES ITSELF, live in your browser, shifting key and tempo as the water gets darker. No two runs sound alike. No engine. No asset packs. Code, art and music by one person. How far down do you get? ──────────────────────────────── CONTROLS Hold left mouse button, Spacebar, W or Arrow Up to swim upwards. Release to glide back down. P pauses the game. On mobile: tap and hold anywhere on the screen.
