Chosen of Xixrelk
Hello, hello! I'm excited to share Chosen of Xixrelk 0.7 with you! It’s not exactly how I envisioned it yet—there’s still plenty of room for improvement. I'd love to add more animations, alternate endings, and a lot of shiny extras. But hey, it’s playable now, and that’s something to celebrate! I’ve done all the playtesting myself, so there might still be some bugs I missed. If you spot anything weird, feel free to let me know—I’d really appreciate it! Up next: A shorter adventure starring Lyra—Mission: Eggs! It'll be a simpler, smaller game, but I'll use it to practice proper animation and polish things even more. I really hope you enjoy what I’ve made so far—and what’s coming next, my sweethearts. 💜 See you soon! P.S. If you like what you see, consider supporting me on Patreon. A note about the game’s art style: Yes, it’s a bit different from the old style—the unique vibe it had. But let’s just call it what it is: AI assets. I’m using them because, realistically, I wouldn’t have been able to finish the game without them. It’s not just about visuals, though—I’m trying to build something fun and interesting overall. The tools I use are just a means to an end. I still care a lot about the game itself and want it to feel like mine, even if some of the pieces come from outside help. A little about me: I kinda disappeared for 2, maybe even 3 years—mostly because I was working full time. First, I worked as a deckhand on a ship (which was actually an amazing job), but after I lost that job, I had to come back and find something else. I ended up working on a pig farm for a while (yeah, really), then in a factory in Germany, and now I’m in the Netherlands working in a greenhouse. The truth is—I just haven’t had the time, energy, or skills to create all the assets on my own. But I still really want to make games… so using AI was the only realistic way to keep going. It was either that or stop completely.
