Gospel of Ruin

About Gospel of Ruin is a tactical roguelike game developed over roughly two and a half months for a university project with Unity Engine. The modifiers drawn for our game were Run'n'Gun, Medieval and Horror, from which we discarded Run'n'Gun genre. Inspired by Slay the Spire’s roguelike combat loop, Darkest Dungeon’s gameplay and aesthetic, and Dispatch’s calls and dialogue choices through book-narrated events. Setting After unleashing the Black Plague and decimating Europe, Beelzebub, Lord of Flies, has laid siege to Barcelona, the last bastion of Christianity standing against the host of Gehenna. During the Comital City's darkest hour, Maria de Cervelló has ignited the holy relics of Sant Jordi, and the Patron Saint answered the call. Now the Saint walks among the last survivors, forging knights from the Holy Order of Mercè and rallying the faithful behind the walls of the Cathedral, humanity's final stand in a city besieged by the forces of Hell itself. Take up arms. Become the beacon Barcelona needs. Lead the resistance through its plague-stricken streets, hold the Cathedral, and drive the minions of the Lord of Flies from the city he dares to claim. Controls Mouse Move, select, target, and command entirely through left point-and-click, while right click serves to cancel ability targeting. Keyboard ESC, Space & Enter allow you to cancel pending actions, skip ahead through scenes and dialogues.
