Samurai Gunyu Kakkyo is a real-time strategy game set in Japan's Warring States period. Currently in development. Build a village, gather wood, stone and gold, advance through the ages, and send your army into battle. Three campaigns, fourteen battles.Follow Oda Nobunaga (7 battles), Toyotomi Hideyoshi (4) and Tokugawa Ieyasu (3). Each battle is won a different way. At Okehazama you slip past the vanguard to strike the enemy headquarters. At Nagashino you hold a triple palisade against five cavalry charges. Honnō-ji is not a battle you can win — the goal is to hold out. Before every battle, a short prologue tours the real battlefield and introduces the commanders. Warring Lords.All of Japan on a single board, with twelve houses racing for Kyoto. Skirmish.Four maps, four setups (1v1, 2v2, three-way and four-way free-for-all), three difficulties. Tiny and self-contained.The whole game is a 577 KB download. There are no image, audio or font files — textures are painted and music is synthesised when the game starts. Nothing is sent over the network. Controls.Left-click to select, right-click to move, attack, gather or build. On touch devices, tap to select and long-press for the right-click action. The full control list is under "Controls" on the title screen. Your campaign progress is saved in your browser. Clearing site data will erase it. Japanese and English.
