Soviet Mall Director

You are Comrade Levinko, the new Soviet Mall Director. We don't know what happened to old Levinko. Rumor has it old Levinko escaped to the west....or maybe the Gulag. Your task is to manage the 13 stores in the Soviet Mall. You start with 8 out of 16 pallets of goods for each store. Don't let the stock run to zero in any store or Levinko will be fired. Lucky for you the stock doesn't deplete that fast but it goes quicker in Gorby's Groceries, the Food Court and the Cinema. Manage Extra Markup, Employees, and Blackmarket Goods levels from your Mall Office. Be a good communist and maintain full employment, and no or minimal extra markup for goods and you'll receive generous subsidies from the state to help try to keep the mall from going broke. If your balance runs below minus 10000 Rubles, then it's also game over. Or you can choose to up the markups and percentage of blackmarket goods offered or lower employee staff, but everything has a trade off, including possibly having to check in to the Soviet Enterprise Ministry periodically, and being arrested if you don't comply. You can be arrested 3 times, the 4th is game over. Purchase 3 different Illegal operations in the mall and race to your mall office with a briefcase of money before a crooked police officer steals it. Buy and sell one time goods offered through the special party officials store and mall office. Save up your money to bribe a pilot and purchase a plane ticket to escape to the west, or not. It's up to you, be a diligent Soviet Mall Director and someday retire in Soviet Paradise, or use your position as a means to escape to the west, or something in between. You must maintain a careful balancing act at all times. Something that only you, Comrade Levinko can achieve, as the new Soviet Mall Director. PC Computer only. Mouse and space key required.
