Anything Goes
Anything Goes is a bullet heaven about everyday places on a bad day. You don't aim and you don't press attack: you move, you dash, and you automatically throw whatever is lying around at whatever is coming for you. Each place has its own junk to throw, its own enemies, its own hazards and its own boss. This prototype has the first one: the kitchen. The groceries have escaped, the hobs keep flaring up, and if you survive long enough, the fridge wakes up. Every item plays differently. The chair bounces from enemy to enemy. Butter leaves puddles that enemies slip on. The microwave goes ding a moment after it lands, then explodes. Level up, choose what to grab next, and find out what happens when butter meets a frying pan. More places are planned. In the end, anything goes. This is an early prototype. The art, sound and music are placeholders. Some things will be unbalanced, and some things may be broken. That's why it's here. Controls Move: WASD or arrow keys Dash: Space Pick a card on level-up: 1–4 or the arrow keys, then Space Reroll the cards: R Pause: Esc Fullscreen: F11 or the button below the game A gamepad works too (A to dash, Menu to pause) Feedback Feedback is very welcome. Leave a comment below. The most useful things to know: Did you start another run? Why, or why not? Was anything confusing? Did anything make you laugh? Did you die to something you couldn't see coming? Privacy The game sends anonymous run stats to help with balancing: how long you lasted, your level, the items you picked, damage dealt and taken, and how smoothly the game ran. They're sent with a random install ID, never your name, account or email. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → "Share anonymous run stats". If you'd like your stats removed, leave a comment below.
