Glenrowan

A game built for the Historically Accurate Game Jam V, Jan 2022. Recreates the historical siege of Glenrowan where the legendary Australian bushranger Ned Kelly made his last stand. Play a turn based tactics game either as the Kelly gang or the Victorian police. Each character you control only has two moves - move or shoot selected by the buttons on the bottom right hand side. The game will randomly select a character from either team to take a turn. Hide behind objects for cover. You can shoot through obstacles when you are very close to them to simulate the character firing "over" them. This way you can use obstacles as cover. Here are the probabilities of what happens when a bullet hits an obstacle. Log: Blocked - 50%, Deflected - 30%, Penetrated - 20% Shrub: Blocked - 20%, Penetrated - 80% Fence: Blocked- 40%, Deflected - 30%, Penetrated - 30% Rock: Blocked - 50%, Deflected - 50% Win the game by killing the commander of the opposite team. For bushrangers this is Ned Kelly, for the police this is Superintendent Hares. Bushrangers get a chance to deflect bullets off their armor while police have more hitpoints.
