In the small kingdom of Idylus, which faces the threat of complete destruction at the hands of an evil overlord, the chosen one, Princess Anastasianina of Idylus, sets out on a heroic journey to… … escape from this terrible video game. Realizing that she is stuck inside of a retro RPG, the princess wants no part of this game’s story or mechanics, instead seeking for a way out of it and editing the game’s pixelart sprites to get past obstacles. Meanwhile, she is being watched by the narrator, who wants the story to progress as intended by the developer.
