CTRL+SHIFT is a game where your control shifts from controlling the player, and controlling the enemies. When walking over a swap block, it will choose who you are controlling. A white arrow will show above whoever you are currently controlling. A lack of white arrow means you are in enemy mode but have not selected one! Also, yes, there are multiple suns on the background.
