Talon's End Extras

This is a collection of extra bonus stories for the WIP interactive fiction game Talon's End. You don't necessarily have to play Talon's End first, but these stories will probably more enjoyable that way! All stories have individual CWs listed in-game. Currently available stories: The Price of a Soul Written for: Halloween 2023Spoiler level: super low (can be played before TE)MC's siblings have carted them off to an estate in the woods to escape societal obligations for a few days. But when a fog bank rolls in and disrupts their getaway, they learn some ancient stories are better left forgotten... Valentine Shorts Written for: Valentine's Day 2024Spoiler level: medium (takes place post-game but no major spoilers)Evergreen (Hawk): MC and Hawk are attending a ball together, but Hawk prefers to be outside in the garden. The two make their escape and take an evening stroll together.The King of Faerie (Shea): MC and Shea started playing a board game. A week later, the game's still going.Awakening (poly): MC and Shea have finally persuaded Hawk to take them to the place where Hawk began their life, awakening as a conscious being. Things don't quite go as planned. Dinner at Dawn (Hawk) Written for: AU Extras (urban fantasy werewolf!Hawk AU)Spoiler level: low MC and Hawk grew up together as vampire hunters: witches who inherit such strong magical abilities that they can challenge even nearly indestructible creatures of the night. But in their teens, Hawk was bitten by a rogue werewolf, losing their hunter powers and their community as they were forced out of their family to join a werewolf pack. It was over ten years before MC and Hawk were reunited and brought hunters and werewolves together to help stop a new vampire threat.Now, although the work continues, MC and Hawk have time to spend together to enjoy the fruits of their labor: specifically, a nice chat over a veggie burger "dinner" the morning after a full moon—unless they get distracted by other things...
