Hatch: A Bara Virtual Pet Game

This game deals with topics of depression, loneliness, unemployment and breakups. Currently in a prototype phase. Hatch is a virtual pet dating sim game where you take care of two young men: Todd, an optimistic and very friendly gym rat who cares too much about what others think, recently got dumped by his fianceé and has to reevaluate what he really wants in a relationship. Teo, a young genius recently out of college, has realized that life outside school doesn’t care about IQs, scores or awards. Being a competitive person, he never made any friends in college except one. Both need a little push during these difficult times, and through small cutscenes you can help them meet and pursue a relationship. Help your friends remain clean, fed and energetic by making them go to bed, bathing them and feeding them. But have in mind each one of them have their own tastes, and when sad they’ll prefer junk food. Call them to talk to them when they’re lonely and learn a little more about how they’re feeling. Pet them if you see them sulking around. Once they’re feeling better, you might convince them to go out and meet someone special!
