What if you felt alone, isolated from the world around you, from the people you love, from every community? What if you felt you didn't belong? What if you felt you were taking up space you didn't deserve and everyone who was kind to you was just... being nice. What if you met someone who could see you for who you really are and still cares deeply for you? What if you met two people like that in quick succession? What if one of them was an alien parasite symbiote? What if you could survive falling off the empire state building? PENUMBRA is either about a depressed trans lesbian unlearning toxic self-harm, or it's about a superhero figuring out how to be a hero. Or both.
