Alone

Alone is a 3D Unity Story Game created for the SJSU BFA Exhibition Show "Press Play" for graduating students of Fall 2024. Alone is my first 3D Unity game. The game includes 7 scenes(levels). Mechanics consists of platforming, searching, and exploration. Models are created by me, code is from various tutorials and chatgpt help. Sound is from soundstripe. Artist Statement: Alone is a 3D game telling a story of an alien coming to earth in pursuit of finding a place to belong. Using transformation, the alien attempts to fit in with other species but fails to coexist. This wildlife game is a representation of someone who has suffered from high levels of anxiety or fear of growing up. I've faced both of these hardships deeply. Negative feelings can mislead people into alienating themselves and believing that something is wrong with them. However, while everyone is unique, we are also the same. We are all animals within the world’s ecosystem. This game serves as a reminder to those who isolate themselves by their imperfections: remember, there are other people in the world who have felt the same way.
