Sparx 2

The evil Sparx are attacking your Spectrum's Z80 processor along its incoming wires. Your only defence is the ability to electrify the wires which kills the Sparx on them. Sparx was originally a Sinclair BASIC type in game published in Sinclair User back in 1984, written by Jonathan Currey. I have taken this old code ported it over to ZXBASIC, spruced up the visuals and introduced different difficulty levels and joystick controls. Press D on the title screen to set difficulty, K to start with keyboard, S for Sinclair joystick and J for Kempston. In game you can pause by pressing P (press any key to resume). The aim of the game is simple: move your resistor up and down the tracks (Q and A on keyboard) and press fire (space) to zap the line and kill the Sparx! Extra points are gained for each phase completed and the game ends when a Sparx reaches the chip.
