A mysterious grandfather leaves a letter to his grandson regarding a secret at the Tilbost House in Abingdon, England-where he claims a Doorway to Yidath - the Continent of Horrors - was opened one hundred and sixty years ago by the fiendish 19th century occultist and infamous professor Jebidiah Smith. Using the infernal tome called the Book of Gates, he created the passage from the distant past to the present using a ritual that allows Them into our world. His grandfather, his father and his brother have taken up the mantle to be the Guardian of the Gate. The letter says now you must take up the legacy. Now you are the only hope.
