Over the Wailing Wind (pre-playtest stages)

Over the Wailing Wind is a supernatural gothic game about people living on the fringes of empire. As the boundary between the living and the dead frays more and more, they attempt to claw their way to a better life, all the while seeking solace in misguided places – including each other. Project stage: early development. I’m running closed playtests with consultants and fellow designers; public playtests aren’t open yet, and many aspects of the game are still rough or in need of heavy revision. The $5 listing price* is an RSVP for the ashcan draft, at which point the game will be functional but not finalized, and open for public playtesting. There will be community copies made available throughout the development process up through the ashcan draft. Once the playtesting stage is over, this edition will be delisted. Early playtesters will receive a $5 discount on the final price with proof of playtest (e.g. a screenshot of a feedback survey). The playbooks for the early dev stage of Over the Wailing Wind are my submission to the Loose Playbook game jam, which specifies playbook submissions only.
