Infernal Castle of Tickling
When the ordinary human wizard Frann pilfers a map from paladins, she thinks she's struck gold: power beyond imagining, in the form of magical trinkets the Church would destroy or seal away. Quickly she finds she's gotten more than she bargained for, when she is the one sealed away - at the hands of a monster far out of her league... unfortunately for her, there is only one way out: through the demonic master of the castle which is now her prison. Lose, Lose, Lose! Defeat isn't just expected, it is nearly inevitable. Misstep, and Frann - relatively weak, and inexperienced with escaping restraints - may get caught in a way she cannot escape. The consequences for your loss are minimal, in most cases, amounting to a distressing or embarrassing scenario for Frann before you're back in control (if you want to be). Don't be afraid to fall in battle - all you stand to lose is a few minutes! Real-Time Action Taking place in the same setting as Violet Witch Trials, but with a dramatic change in gameplay. Eschew puzzles and tactical turn-based combat in favor of moment to moment action as a lone wolf spellcaster. Freely shift between casting different elemental spells with their own strengths, weaknesses, and effective range. Gear up with trinkets scavenged from dungeon chests or by trading with other unlucky inhabitants of the castle! Real-Time Peril Each enemy has its own unique restraint attack for tickling Frann, which unfolds and animates in real time. Escape is both simplified and enhanced, with a streamlined minigame supplemented by leveling. Build your Endurance to buy yourself time in restraints, and your Escape skill to slip bonds faster and escape more complex and secure bindings. SPECIAL: Project Status As development for Violet Witch Trials nears its final stretch, I've produced Infernal Castle of Tickling as an experiment. If it proves to be well-liked, I want to continue developing it, producing more areas for it in a similar way to Violet Witch Trials. But I'm not yet committed to it - if it doesn't seem to appeal, this will be its final state. If you enjoy this project, please say so: your voice may be the one which determines whether or not development goes on!
