Dylan the Spaceman Demo
Bit of a Blast from the Past. This is a demo of a Dizzy clone game I made for the Amiga 600 or Amiga 1200. The game was been made using the Reality game creative software with the adventure skeleton disk. The game hit the buffers for two reasons - firstly lack of free time (to create some extra graphics for the space section) and secondly a bit of a creative block regarding puzzles for the last section. I am unlikely to finish this game using the Reality Game engine but would love to make a Dizzy clone game again in the future , maybe using the excellent Scorpion engine but there are a few other projects I would want to try first. Playing the Game Its a standard dizzy adventure type game, collect items and share with characters to complete tasks and allow you to explore new areas or get new items. To enter a door move towards it and place fire - you also press fire to pick up an item and to talk to the in game characters. The game ends when you find Robot 5 (all will make sense when you watch the intro)- the full game would have included obtaining items to board an alien space ship to fly to mars where you capture the evil Alien mastermind - Music The in game music was provided by the super talented Simone Bernacchia. He has also provided the wonderful music for my most recent project Super Robin for the Sega Megadrive. I believe that on some versions there may have been a holding track by Heatbeat from Finland, I know there was a problem with music file sizes especially for the Amiga 500 version due to memory constraints. I no longer have the music disks that came with the reality editor so can't check.
