Return to Tatooine - Fan YJCCG Expansion
Young Jedi CCG is an out-of-print collectible card game published by Decipher from 1999-2001. It was based on the events and characters from the movie The Phantom Menace in the Star Wars universe. Announcing Return to Tatooine, an unofficial expansion to this abandoned card game. As part of the Episode II wave of expansions, it focuses on the characters and settings of the movie Attack of the Clones. Includes 52 cards: 26 light side cards 26 dark side cards New characters New weapons Reprints of the Tatooine locations from the original gameChoose between two card backs: new proxy backs for Episode II, or the original card backs [These proxy cards are compatible with Make Playing Cards.com, but might be rejected for IP infringement unless you use a clearly labeled "PROXY" back] New Rules (FAQ) Q: Can I use my old cards? A: Yes! While the Episode II wave is designed to be self-contained and include all the necessary cards to play on its own, you can still use your old cards. If you want you can use the 2 Edition virtual cards to update their location bonuses with their Sister Planets (see below). Q: How do the new planets work? A: When constructing a deck, you need locations from three different planets. You can include any or none of the new planets depending upon what your characters are in your deck. You play the starting location for a new planet just like the old planets. There is a new location to the old planet of Coruscant: Lower Levels. This location can be played on any other Coruscant location, and any other Coruscant location can be placed on top of it. Q: What are the funny looking planets under the Location Bonuses? A: Each of the two new planets (Geonosis and Kamino) are "Sister Planets" to two of the old planets (Tatooine & Naboo). All Geonosis characters get a bonus when on the sister planet of Tatooine (typically 1 bonus for any Tatooine location), and all Kamino characters get a bonus when on their sister planet of Naboo. The reverse is also true, all Tatooine characters from the original set get a bonus when on their sister planet of Geonosis, and all Naboo characters from the original set get a bonus when on their sister planet of Kamino. Q: What's up with these Purple-dot characters? A: A fan committee was designated by Decipher to manage the YJCCG near the end of it's lifespan. This player's committee released "Virtual Cards," which were updates kind of endorsed by Decipher for usage in their tournaments. One of these updates included Purple-dot characters, which was an idea further explored in this set. There are Astromech Repair Droids (one for each side) that can be deployed either to the current planet OR to hyperspace. Once they are deployed they can't move to another area (can't be deployed to a planet after being in hyperspace, or vice versa). If they are deployed to the current planet, they receive the bonuses listed under their POWER (in this case, 1 bonus to any location on Geonosis or Kamino). They also have abilities for when they are deployed to Hyperspace (see their flavor box). Q: Power bonuses for destiny draws? A: The battle cards, as well as two of the weapon cards, now include additional abilities in their flavor box. When any of these cards are drawn for the destiny of a character (such as a Battle Droid, Naboo Officer, Jedi, or Sith), then they receive an additional power bonus on top of their listed destiny dice. For example, if a Battle Droid draws the Droid Carbine when drawing destiny, they receive a total of 6 additional power (3 Destiny + 3 power bonus).
