Mini-Merchant of Venice: a text-based trading game

An extremely simplistic trading sim, inspired by classic games like Patrician and Port Royale. Buy low and sell high across the Mediterranean Sea, and turn a massive profit as you climb the ranks of Venetian society and join the fabled Council of Ten. Navigate between different markets, invest in cities to boost production and mind the law of supply and demand to maximise your profit. Good prices follow a semi-realistic curve, while cities have varying population levels, indirectly influencing the price of goods. Built in Godot as a small prototype and learning project to explore economic simulations.
