Two-phase combat, every fight! Each round splits into a build phase and a play phase. Build your resources through your granny's own game (deal, roll, spin, scratch, bet), then spend what you generated on your kit of equipment cards to attack, defend, poison, freeze, burn, and chain combos together. Push your signature meter (a running count, a heat streak, a payline, a bingo line, a hot number) high enough and it swings a whole turn in your favor. Push your luck too far on a bad roll and the house makes you pay for it. A run with real shape, not just a corridor! Ten floors, each branching into multiple paths instead of a straight line. Fight your way to the guaranteed exit, or detour for shops, chests, rest stops, and side rooms, knowing the best loot always sits behind the toughest fights. Every floor gets meaner than the last, and the Devil is waiting at the very bottom. A kit that actually grows! Level up and choose how: grow your core resource, gain an extra action each turn, or sharpen a card outright. Kit cards span nine different roles (attack, defense, healing, status effects, combos, manipulation, counters, heat, and mines), and sharpening stacks permanent upgrades onto the ones you love. Charms found along the way bend the run's rules further still, for better or worse. By floor ten, your kit plays nothing like it did on floor one.
