The Empire stands over every road worth walking. Its banners fly above cities, lonely forts, and villages that remember no other ruler. Elf Champions crush every rebellion before it grows. Most people endure. A few disappear into the forests. Some whisper that the Empire has grown old, and old things can bleed. You are not a king. Not a hero. Only another warrior who has chosen the losing side. One Champion may fall. Then another. Villages will remember forgotten paths. The great beasts that once broke kingdoms still wear the Empire's chains... Others have raised swords against the Empire. Their names are gone. Yours is still unwritten. Take up your weapon.
