The rooftop driver!
The driver is on the roof. The car goes in reverse. And there’s no steering wheel. ...Hah??? Pick your car and try to drive as far as you can without crashing, earn more money, and buy new cars to discover even weirder ways to control them. —————- 🤨 First of all... why is the driver on the roof? 🤨 Because at some point, you have to break free from the rules set by the reptilian overlords running the world. 🦎 —————- So... how am I supposed to drive this thing? Steering wheel? Nope. Pedals? Nope. We only have one handle. This 3D handle controls pretty much everything: ⬆️ Forward → Accelerate ⬇️ Backward → Slow down / Brake ⬅️➡️ Left & Right → Steer ✋ Let go → Slam on the brakes! I came up with this control scheme for mobile to see how well driving with something that looks absolutely nothing like a steering wheel would actually work. ❓ NOW YOU TELL ME ❓ Did you get used to it, or are you still looking for the steering wheel??? —————- 125 cars. 125 times you have to figure out where the driver decided to sit. There are 29 car models, and 24 of them come in 5 different colors. ...But it’s not just the color that changes... Every single one of the 125 cars has the driver positioned differently on the roof — from completely normal-looking setups to positions that make you wonder how the driver hasn't fallen off yet. From big, heavy vehicles to fast and ordinary cars, pick your ride and choose whether you want to drive carefully or weave through traffic and hope you don't hit anything. —————- ⚙️ Before You Start ⚙️ ⚠️ Adjust the game's graphics settings to match your device's capabilities. ⚠️ ⚠️ Known Issue ⚠️ Currently, if the graphics quality is set to Custom and you restart the game, the graphics may not display correctly. Until this issue is fixed, switch away from Custom and then select it again. —————- 🔍 What's Next? 🔎 This is my first game to make it to release, and it's probably also the last mobile game I'll make. I have a lot of ideas for future projects — from small and weird experiments to ideas that would require a team and a lot more resources to bring to life. But before I move on to those, I'm going to put an old Prototype from one of my bigger projects on itch.io. It was supposed to be a Multiplayer horror game — a mix of genuine scares and funny situations. The version I'm releasing is just a Prototype of the original idea; a small glimpse of what this project could have become. Maybe one day, it'll become more than just a Prototype. 👀
