Count DOWN: Crew Layoff "A Captain's duty is to lead. A Count's duty is to optimize." You play as Count DOWN, a once-wealthy nobleman stripped of his fortune and exiled from his homeland. With nowhere left to turn, you must sail across treacherous waters to claim and settle a raw New World territory. Keeping a ship afloat isn't easy—machinery breaks, fires break out, and time is constantly running against you. While your crew helps manage the chaos, they have one fatal flaw: they eat too much food. When supplies run low and time runs out, you must make the ultimate managerial decision: who goes overboard to feed the sharks? How it Fits the Theme The Protagonist: You play as Count named DOWN, combining identity with the core mechanic. Ticking Timers: Every task and minigame is a literal countdown: failing to finish them in time directly causes your ship's health to drop. Decreasing Resources: Survival requires managing constantly counting down resources—food, hull integrity, and crew headcounts as you throw excess workers into the sea. Game Features Time-Critical Minigames: Fix leaks, patch sails, and keep the ship intact before time runs out and damages your hull. Ruthless Resource Management: Balance your Crew, Food, and Hull HP. Personnel Optimization: Is a crew member slacking off or eating too much? Throw them into the ocean to save supplies! Unpredictable Events: Adapt to random nautical hazards while steering toward your destination.
