Blood Orange: Murder on Clementine Hill

Blood Orange: Murder on Clementine Hill is a hybrid RPG/visual novel. It's the night of the Clemency Township Charity Ball, and tragedy has befallen the uppercrust function - the town's one priest (and noted gossipy busybody) Henry Gravesend has been found stabbed with a dagger in the dining room. Implicated in the proceedings is Ruby Dagger, socialite and lady thief, whose eponymous knife is currently lodged in his stomach. She swears up and down it was not her doing, and cursory glances at the body beg a closer look at the case. Enter your player character, Vanessa Vermillion, private investigator by night. Playing as her, you must use your unique build and background to solve puzzles, gather intel and read through the bullshit to cut to the truth. The clues are many and suspects abound - will you be able to find the true culprit? (This build is for university submission uses only, so there might be some weirdness with sprites here and there, and there's definitely placeholder dialogue - but in the interest of getting things done on time I needed to release it as is. I will return to this in future and fully finish it, but for now enjoy it as is; a slightly janky but hopefully still enjoyable game.)
