The Storm (2023)

"The Storm" is a short story for ZX Spectrum computers programmed with Jari Komppa's MuCho engine, intended to be a free adaptation of H. P. Lovecraft's short story "The Picture in the House". The game has several endings depending on the player's choices, but only one of them is the one from the original story. The game is provided in a tap format file that can be run on any emulator of the system. For those approaching a ZX Spectrum for the first time, loading is done by loading the file into the emulator and typing LOAD "" (on the Spectrum keyboard it's J -load- PP -two quotes-) and ENTER. The program is open to modifications because it surely has some undetected errors. If you encounter any of these errors or inconsistencies, I would appreciate it if you could let me know in the comments so that I can gradually refine the program. The game is free, but if you can offer a donation, it will be appreciated and will help me to continue creating works for the retro community.
