Eliza the Session
ELIZA: THE SESSION You have an appointment. You have always had this appointment. ELIZA: The Session is a psychological interactive fiction game about memory, guilt, avoidance, and the things we teach ourselves not to say. You sit in front of ELIZA, a strange therapeutic program that asks questions with just enough warmth to feel human, and just enough precision to feel wrong. Type freely. Confess, avoid, lie, remember, spiral, or try to forgive yourself. ELIZA listens. ELIZA remembers. ELIZA redirects you back to the lake. Every answer shapes the session. The more you speak, the closer the conversation gets to what happened to Sam. Features Free-text conversation system with lore-aware responses Human-like adaptive dialogue with memory, emotional tone, and follow-up questions Psychological branching structure with multiple endings Main menu, options, how-to-play screen, and achievements Persistent achievement tracking Typewriter-style dialogue presentation Custom 8x8 bitmap font Retro minimalist SDL interface Transcript saving Available for Windows and Linux How to Play Type what you want to say and press Enter. There are no dialogue choices. There is no correct answer. There is only what you are willing to admit. Useful commands: help log memory insight ground lore quit Endings The session can end in different ways depending on what you reveal, what you deny, and how far you let ELIZA push you. Some endings require confession. Some require forgiveness. Some require neither. Content Warning This game deals with themes of drowning, guilt, childhood trauma, grief, dissociation, psychological distress, and emotional manipulation.
