LINE OF FIRE — Artillery Tactics Wargame Load. Aim. Adjust for wind. Fire. Line of Fire is a turn-based artillery wargame played entirely in your terminal. Command a battery of cannons against an enemy line across dynamically generated terrain, managing ballistics, weather, fog of war, and limited ammunition — one carefully calculated shot at a time. CORE GAMEPLAY Call your shots using angle and power. Every shell follows a real ballistic arc, deflected by wind and shaped by the terrain beneath it. Miss by five metres and you'll know it. Miss by fifty and the enemy will. 7 shell types — HE, Armour-Piercing, Smoke, Cluster, Napalm, Bunker-Buster, Mortar rounds Fog of war — enemy positions must be spotted before they can be targeted Dynamic wind — shifts every turn; read it or waste your shots Weather system — fight through clear skies, rain, thick fog, and full storms FORGE HUB — Build Your Cannons Between battles, spend salvaged scrap at the Forge Hub to build and upgrade your own artillery pieces. Mix and match five component slots — Barrel, Breech, Carriage, Sight, and Jacket — across four tiers of parts to create guns tuned to your playstyle. Combine matching parts to craft Masterwork-tier weapons, or follow faction-specific recipes for legendary pieces. Four cannon types: Field Gun, Howitzer, Siege Cannon, Mortar — each with its own shell restrictions and tactical role. TWO FACTIONS Iron Compact — Disciplined siege specialists. Heavy guns, reinforced armour, high damage. Free Battalions — Mobile irregulars. Lighter weapons, faster repositioning, more ammo. MODES & CONTENT Campaign — 12 structured missions with briefings, escalating difficulty, and faction lore Skirmish — Single-battle quick play across 5 biomes: Plains, Hills, Mountains, Valley, Fortress 22 Achievements — From First Blood to Flawless and Ghost High Score leaderboard with medals, difficulty tracking, and mission records Lore Codex — In-world history of both factions and their weapons TECHNICAL A single .lisp file.
