Archesspelago

Archesspelago, like the name might suggest is a take on chess roguelike (or lite really) dungeon island crawler. You start with your dinky raft and just a few chess pieces as your units. Then you hop from an island to another, beating the inhabitants there and recruiting them to your team. Find different kinds of pieces and equip them with power giving tarot cards to make your journey as lengthy as possible. The loss is permanent but you will earn some souls on your way and those can be used before your next run to buy some unlocks like different starter pieces or the tarot cards you can equip them with. Can be played with mouse only and the functions are explained in game. Any prior chess knowledge isn't really all that necessary. The pieces just move like they normally do (until you add in some wacky tarot card effects) and you can see the moves beforehand and explained too so even if you've never heard of chess, you'll manage!
