Invaders from Dimension Z

Game made exclusively for the Warp Arcade Jam 2026.Simple shoot 'em up (shmup), but in space! (cause that's nevvver been done before). Player ship is a 3d render of mine, enemies are a mix of mine and AI. Nebula clouds use my pixel shader. Hi-scores are tracked online using PurpleToken API.Arrow keys (or WASD) to move, space to shoot. Using a game controller is also supported.Important:Controller must be configured first. Press "J" to listen for a joystick. Press any button on the controller you wish to use, when the prompt says it was detected, you can press "J" again to close the prompt. Press ESC to bring up the menu to start over or toggle the scores. Settings and final stand are not yet implemented.Colliding with an enemy ship will result in instant death, even the golden nugget. The exception is the smaller gold fragments upon destruction of a nugget, which only cause minor damage. On a positive note, at least you'll still earn points for destroying that enemy. You'll still be dead, but richer!Drones cannot be destroyed, but hitting them does earn you points. Just don't get too greedy firing at them or you'll lose focus and get blindsided by other enemies.Snipers have a devastating laser beam that once powered up will vaporize you instantly!At the end of each wave, you'll earn an extra 50pts for each life you have remaining. The game may feel deceptively simple at first, but few make it beyond the 3rd wave. Can you defeat all 5 and save planet Earth? Special thanks to Virtual Nomad for testing my game and annoying me!
